Remembrance Sunday

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today. On this day people across the nation pause to reflect on the sacrifices made by our brave Servicemen and Servicewomen. The Hindhead Cubs and Scouts have always supported Remembrance Day and this year, as usual, met at St Albans on Sunday for a service in full uniform,

Some of the things that happened in October...

The Hindhead cubs had a busy month in October:  They created a map of Beacon Hill out of recycled rubbish.  They learnt all about India, with lots of items about the country as well as creating a Diwali candle out of clay.  They also met for Harvest Festival.  Most importantly that all had lots of fun!

Monday 8th July - earning our Athletics badges

On Monday 8th July the cubs worked hard towards achieving their athletics badge.  Cubs can earn many different types of badges including core, challenge and activity badges. Activity badges allow Cub Scouts to show their progress in existing pursuits, but also to try all kinds of new things and form new interests!

All the cubs completed their Athletics badge and when later looking at the scores all the cubs came 1st or 2nd in at least one of the activities - well done them!
